Coronavirus Manila | sempre alto il numero dei nuovi casi

The Department of Health reports 2,498 new cases of COVID-19 in the country. Total is now 61,266. The DOH also reports 29 new deaths and 467 new recoveries. The total number of deaths is now 1,643 and the recovered patients is now at 21,440 with active cases at 38,183.

Venerdì, 17 Luglio Anno 2020. Anno Zero.

 

I 2416 nuovi casi in più ieri hanno già raggiunto la previsione della  UP – University of the Philippines che aveva predetto un numero compreso tra i 60 e 70K entro la fine di Luglio. E nei social media, perchè i FIlippini non hanno la memoria corta, pullulano di commenti sul video intervista passato di Henry Roque quando aveva sancito ” che il mese di giugno aveva battuto la previsione della UP” innescando non poche polemiche. 

Ora non c’è più la suddivisione tra i freschi e i ritardati nella comunicazione quotidiana da parte del DOH, ma la connotazione del grafico “a effetto elettroshock” suggerisce che i ritardi continuano a esserci.

Siamo solo al 17 Luglio e abbiamo già raggiunto la previsione matematica della UP e probabilmente la supereremo di gran lunga, una situazione non rosea, anzi e c’è la sempreverde minaccia di ritornare a Manila in MGCQ se il pubblico non segue le poche norme di base e cioè la maschera, la distanza sociale e il rispetto della quarantena che dalle news della cronaca e del numero degli arresti sembrano, dai più,  non essere tenute nella giusta considerazione.

E la Robredo  da il benvenuto ai nuovi responsabili per guidare la lotta nazionale alla pandemia, nominati nei giorni scorsi, ma di fatto dice non è cambiato nulla. Qualcosa sembra sfuggire di mano e le nuove misure come andare a stanare i malati covid-19 casa per casa (che ha destato molte preoccupazioni tra la popolazione) per portarli nelle facilities  d’isolamento, se le poche regole della quarantena non sono rispettate (che prevedono una stanza con bagno e la non condivisione di vita sociale nella stessa casa con soggetti deboli, anziani e donne in gravidanza) sembrano non risolvere l’andamento progressivo dei nuovi casi che abbiamo di giorno in giorno.

In più se prima c’era una carenza dei laboratori e dei test, adesso una continua carenza del personale.

Molti sono i problemi del paese, e sembra quasi inutile provare a elencare quali siano. Chi fa? Che cosa? Come? E Quando? Facili domande ma di difficile attuazione.

Finisco dicendo che in tutto il Piemonte ieri ci sono stati zero decessi, 7 nuovi casi di cui 5 asintomatici. Riusciremo mai a vedere un giorno una situazione del genere a Metro Manila?
